What is Berry Fruit Leather?
Contrary to the title, it's not leather at all. It's just a fun name for a healthy snack that will remind you of a fruit roll up!
Fruit roll up's were my childhood favorite, but they are filled with chemicals and unhealthy ingredients.
Within my journey of exploring new dietary restrictions due to a recent auto immune diagnosis, being Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Anti-Inflammatory and Low FODMAP, I have faced a challenge of finding ways to enjoy food's I know and love all while staying within these guidelines to prevent a flare up.
Berry Fruit Leather is an all-natural, low calorie, healthy snack that can be made with just 4 simple ingredients. About 10 minutes to prep and 3 to 3.5 hours cooking is all it takes.

You can make this in a traditional oven or using a Dehydrator! I used my traditional oven but I have also used my Ninja Foodi Digital Air Fry Countertop Oven which has a Dehydration function! You can play around with the settings for temperature and time depending on which you use.
The goal when cooking is to get the Fruit Leather to not be sticky when removing from the oven which is an indication of it being done and ready to eat. Once you remove it from the oven you can cut into any size strips or shapes you'd like! I Prefer to make finger length strips which produces about 25 servings for this recipe.
The best part about this is that you can totally customize it to whatever fruits you want! Just strawberries, just blueberries, swapping out for a different fruit altogether. The options are endless for a guilt free snack option! Kids love them too.
